Usman A. Bhatti is one of the lawyers in the firm who's practice ranges from transactional work to litigation. Specifically, Usman is engaged in the areas of Corporate and Commercial Law including the sales and acquisitions of businesses (assets and/or shares), corporate restructuring and refinancing, franchising, shareholders agreement and all issues dealing with daily corporate management. Usman also practices in the area of Real Estate and Development Law comprised of all aspects of real property transactions, bank refinancing, land development, commercial and residential purchases and sales, and commercial leasing.

Lorne Barsky joined the firm in February, 2001 bringing with him over 25 years of real estate experience gained from successfully completing thousands of transactions. Lorne has been involved in many aspects of real estate including, corporate relocations, residential real estate, commercial real estate, hotel acquisitions and condominium development registrations.
Lorne received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 1966 and continued his education at Queens University where he received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in 1969. Lorne was called to the Bar in 1971 and appointed Queens Counsel in 1982.

Ron Bowman practices principally corporate and commercial law, helping small to medium-sized businesses deal with all manner of legal problems and opportunities. He also has extensive experience in high profile business environments with international scope and a variety of business units, where in addition to the law department he has been responsible for both corporate secretarial and insurance functions, served on crisis management and environmental committees, and overseen the management of an extensive portfolio of international trade-marks and patents. Ron understands the operating challenges of a regulated industry, and also is well versed in broadcast rights agreements involving both radio and television. He has acted as counsel to two Canadian professional sports franchises and several internationally recognized sporting events, and was an alternate governor of the National Hockey League for eight years.

Joseph practices primarily in the areas of Commercial and Civil Litigation, Personal Injury Law, and Criminal Law.
Joseph graduated from York University, with a BA (Hons.) and then continued his education at Guelph University, where he received his Masters degree in Political Science. Joseph completed his education at the University of Manitoba, where he obtained his L.L.B.
Joseph worked at a downtown firm before joining RZCD in 2002.
1997 Call to the Bar
Bruce joined the firm’s Mississauga Office in 1994 while attending Osgoode Hall Law School and became partner in 1998. Prior to attending law school, Bruce studied Business Administration, English Literature, and Mathematics and garnered 15 years of entrepreneurial and multi-national corporate experience.
Bruce currently practices in the areas of Corporate/Commercial, Civil Litigation and Estate litigation and has represented clients before all levels of Ontario courts in addition to administrative tribunals including the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Ontario Human Rights Commission, the Ontario Ministry of Labour and Employment Insurance Commission as well as at mediations, arbitrations and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Peter Callahan practices primarily in the areas of Civil Litigation and Family Law.
Peter received his B.A. (Hons.) from Queen’s University and continued his education at the University of Windsor where he received his LL.B. in 1991.
Peter’s practice has caused him to appear in all levels of courts in the Province of Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Frank Racioppo is the founding partner of the firm. He specializes primarily in the areas of Real Estate, Municipal and Development law.
Frank received his B. Comm. at the University of Toronto in 1987 and continued his education at the University of Windsor, where he graduated with his M.B.A. and LL.B. in 1990.

Jim Smith is the Senior Litigation Partner at the firm and heads up the firm’s Construction Law Group. Jim practices in the areas of Commercial and Civil Litigation, including Construction Liens and Construction Contracts, Debtor/Creditor and Security Enforcement and Bankruptcy and Insolvency.
